Cosmetics (Europe)

As from 11 July 2013 the new European Cosmetic Products Regulation (EU Regulation 1223/2009) came into full force replacing the Cosmetics Directive.  This new regulation reinforces product safety, taking into account the latest technological developments (including the possible use of nanomaterials).

GRS has established a subsidiary, Crème de la Crème Ltd, to focus on the Cosmetic sector.  Through this subsidiary, we can provide a full support service including the following:

  • Compile the mandatory Product Information Pack (PIP)
  • Assess all material to ensure compliance (to include recommendations for wording in line with current legislation)
  • Review of product labels and all promotional material (including websites)
  • Conduct mandatory European Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSRs)
  • Liaise with relevant authorities
  • Notification via the Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP)
  • Be your UK based 'Responsible Person'

For more information, please visit Industry Sectors - Cosmetics or contact us to discuss your specific regulatory compliance requirements.  A dedicated Crème de la Crème website will be launched in the near future.
